Polo Beach: Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui is located on Wailea's Polo Beach, a 600-foot stretch of pristine, white sand. The beach is enclosed with lava rock on both ends creating a secluded area with calm water, especially during morning hours. Perfect for keiki (kids), the beach has a sandy bottom with clear, approachable water. Snorkel gear, stand up paddle boards, ocean kayaks and boogie boards are also available to get a glimpse of the tropical fish and Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles.
Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui offers participants a truly unique and exclusive opportunity to get immersed in the ways of the Island's seafarers through its Hawaiian Canoe Experience. Participants learn the basics of paddling, the history of the canoe and its importance to Hawaiian heritage, and examples of native chants used when navigating the ocean. Things to know: 1 hour excursion Monday – Friday beginning at 6:00 am (begins at 7:00 am December thru February) 6 man outrigger canoe holds 2 staff paddlers and 4 guests for each excursion Complimentary for resort guests (10 yrs ) **The Hawaiian Canoe Experience fills up quickly and advanced reservations are required. The 1500 square foot kids' club features a permanent elevated stage, a full kitchen, a dedicated craft area, two 37" flat screen monitors, individual cubbies, and outdoor tables. Keiki will enjoy storytelling, creative arts and crafts, exciting games, and meeting friends while being exposed to our beautiful Hawaiian culture. Daily programs include building erupting volcanoes, crafting sandcastles, hula lessons, painting coconuts, exploring tidepools, and learning Hawaiian words and phrases.
